Indri drain to be lined, desilted

Chandigarh, July 18 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to line and desilt Indri drain at a cost of Rs 1.10 crore.

Irrigation and Revenue Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said that Irrigation Department would line 4910 feet of Indri drain out of the total 1,65,000 feet.

He said the drain was passing through Taraori town and after the process of desilting and lining, safety of inhabitants of Taraori Town would be ensured and the water of Sandhir, Padhana, Butana, Takhana, Nilokheri and Taraori would drain out smoothly.

He said that the drain in the reach was proposed to be rehabilitated.
