IFA conf on International Taxation from July 20

Chennai, July 18: The prevailing taxation systems in different countries of the world will come up for discussion among 150 delegates, including 20 from abroad, in the two-day conference on International Taxation beginning here from July 20.

The conference is being organised by the Southern Chapter of International Fiscal Association (IFA), India Branch, and would be inaguurated by Authority for Advance Rulings (Income-tax), Delhi, Chairman and Retired Supreme Court Judge P V Reddi.

Four speakers from Singapore, China, United States and the United Kingdom would speak on various issues on the prevailing taxation systems in their respective countries for the benefit of Indian entrepreneurs, regional chairman of IFA R Bhupathy told reporters last night.

Among the topics that would come under discussion, include international tax challenges and opportunities, making international acquisitions tax effective and FDI challenges in Real Estate Investment in India.

The discussions would also include outbound investment tax considerations and structures for Indian companies investing abroad, tax residency and related issues, basic concepts of overseas tax planning, unification of China taxation system and cross border services and supply.
