HC reserves order on cancellation of bail to Amarinder
Chandigarh, July 18 (UNI) Justice Ranjit Singh of Punjab and Haryana High Court today reserved the judgement on the Special Leave Petition (SLP) of Punjab government seeking directions to cancel the interim anticipatory bail granted to former state Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and others in connection with the multi-crore scam of City Centre Project of Ludhiana Improvement Trust.
The petition had been remanded back to the High Court by the Supreme Court as the state goverment felt the anticipatory bail was granted for too long a period in the first instance.
The bail is due to expire on July 30.
The others similarly placed in the context of the SLP are former Minister Jagjit Singh Chaudhary and three others.
