GNDU to host korfball,handball,kabaddi, basketball

Amitsar, July 18 (UNI) Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) would host the All India Inter-University korfball; North-East Inter-Varsity handball (Men and Women) Championship; North-East Inter-University Basketball (Women) Championship and North-East Inter-Varsity Kabaddi (Men) Championship during the academic session 2007-08.

These championships have been allotted by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

Stating this here today, dr Kanwaljit Singh, Director, Sports of the University said that the Inter-University Korfball Championship would be organised from October 15 while the Inter-University Zonal Handball (Men and Women) competition would be held in November.

He said that the North-East Zone Inter-University Basketball (Women) Championship would be hosted in the month of October-November. Similarly, the Zonal Inter-Varsity Kabaddi (Men) Championship would be organised in November.
