Four hardcore militants nabbed

Imphal, Jul 18 (UNI) Four hardcore militants were nabbed by troops of Assam Rifles in separate incidents during the last 24 hours.

PRO of 34 Assam Rifles today said the they had started operations in various parts of the state since Monday last.

As a result of the operation three KYNL cadres and another cadre of People's Liberation Army (PLA) were nabbed by the troops yesterday.

Meanwhile Imphal East Superintendent of Police Clay Khongsai today displayed arms and ammunition recovered from two vehicles coming from Nagaland on Monday last.

One M-79 (40 MM) grenade launcher, five hand grenades (Chinese), 16 numbers of .38 ammunition, 140 numbers of AK ammunition and one 36 HE grenade, 31 blank letterheads of the outfit, two seals of PULF, two 9 mm pistols and eleven camouflage uniforms were recovered from the cadres.
