Four cops held for prisoner's escape
Anand, July 18 (UNI) Four policemen have been arrested in connection with the escape of a prisoner from the district sub jail.
Girish K Waghri, arrested in a looting and kidnapping case, had escaped yesterday morning after scaling a 12-foot wall.
Anand town police arrested the four policemen, who were on duty when the prisoner escaped, for negligence of duty. They are head constable Valji Ramabhai and constables Osmangani Ibrahim, Dineshbhai Somabhai, and Giriraj Chandubhai.
The town police, meanwhile, have not been able to track down the prisoner.
