Force 10 release C300 resilient switch

Bangalore, July 18: Force10 Networks, the pioneer in building and securing reliable networks, today introduced C300 resilient switch that delivers the reliability, network control and scalability.

Purpose built for demanding deployment ranging from midsize data centres to wiring closets, the C300 was the industry's first switch that combines the essential reliability characteristics necessary to support mission critical business applications, the Chennai-based company's Vice President (Engineering) Sachi Sambandan said.

Speaking to mediapersons here he said, "Our experience in large data centres has helped us understand that increasingly most businesses do not exist without the network and with introduction of the C300, we have extended our industry leading performance characteristics. The C-Series combines reliability, network control and scalable capacity characteristics in a chassis platform optimized for midsized environments." As part of its worldwide growth plan, Force10 had opened sales offices in Chennai and New Delhi that would serve the India market.

Additionally, the company was continuing to build out its research and development facilities in Chennai to support a growing product line, including the C300, the TeraScale E-Series, the S-Series family of access switches and the P-Series family of security appliances, Mr Sambandan added.
