FCI not to review cases of 650 dismissed officials

Moga, July 18 (UNI) Food Corporation of India (FCI) Chairman Alok Sinha said the FCI was not reviewing the cases of 650 dismissed FCI officials of Punjab region who had been found guilty of irregularities in the purchase of substandard quality of rice during last two years.

Mr Sinha who was talking to mediapersons after inaugurating Rs 400 crore storage and computerised handling project, a joint venture of FCI and Adani Agri Longistics Ltd (AALL), at Dagru village near here yesterday said that he had no information if any one of those dismissed FCI employees were seeking court's intervention.

On the occasion, the Chairman also informed that FCI had a stock of 155 lakh MT of wheat in the central pool and was ready to meet any emegrency requirment.
