Eight booked for killing a pregnant women and her son

Muzaffarnagar, July 18 (UNI) At least eight people were booked for allegedly killing a pregnant woman and her two-year-old son for dowry at Phugana area here today.

According to the police, Babli (28) and her son Sanjeev (2) died in a mysterious circumstances late last night. Their last rites were also performed at night without informing her family members.

After the incident came into the knowledge of Babli's family they lodged an FIR against in-laws under Dowry Act, including Babli's husband.

So far, police could arrest only Rajjo, mother-in-law of Babli, search is on to nab the others.

Rajjo alleged that driven by abject poverty her daughter-in-law committed suicide.
