Deutsche Bank announces Rs 40 lakh 'Urban Age Award'
Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) Deutsche Bank today announced the launch of Rs 40 lakh ''Urban Age Award'' which will be conferred to eligible urban development projects in Mumbai.
''The award will be given to projects and initiatives that improve the physical conditions of their communities and the lives of their residents. This will encourage people to take responsibilities of their cities,'' Deutsche Bank MD Gunit Chadha told reporters.
Chaired by Urban Age director Ricky Burdett, the six member jury also comprise Shabana Azmi, former Washington D.C mayor Anthony Williams and author Suketu Mehta.
The award is an initiative associated with the ''Urban Age Project'', an initiative promoted by Deutsche Bank's international forum -- Alfred Herrhausen Society and London School of Economics.
The deadline for submissions has been fixed for September 30. The award will be presented on November 1 in Mumbai.
