Chennai to host ACMEE global expo

Chennai, July 18 (UNI) The eight edition of ACMEE, an international industrial exhibition, would be held here from June 19, 2008 at Chennai Trade Centre.

More than 400 exhibitors were expected to participate in the the five-day international fair -- 'ACMEE 2008'--, Chairman Dilip Kumbhat told newspersons here today.

"Apart from the national participants, 'ACMEE 2008' is expected to attract participation from 15 countries, including from Russia, UK, US, Italy, Germany, Israel, Taiwan, Korea, Australia, China and Malaysia," he added.

The event also generated interest and confidence among the earlier participants with the possibilities of generating concrete enquiries and securing large volume of business besides on the spot orders.

"ACMEE would also give awards for innovative products, new products and designs and innovative manufacturing solutions," he said adding Small Industries Service Institute (SISI) have also come forward to promote competition in various skills for the industrial work force in different disciplines." He said NSIC planned technical seminars on the emerging trends in the industry during the event besides workshops by the participating industries from India and abroad.

"The exhibition will attract above 80,000 trade visitors from India and abroad and expected to generate above Rs 20 crore business," he pointed out.
