Arrangements complete for president's poll

Shimla, July 18 (UNI) All arrangements have been made in Himachal Pradesh for tomorrow's Presidential elections to elect the country's 13th President.

The polling would take place from 1000 to 1700 hrs tomorrow and the material to be used in the election has been moved to the state Vidhan Sabha building to esnure smooth elections, Election Commission officials told UNI here.

Security has also been tightened around the Assembly building and no person without a valid pass would be allowed to enter the building tomorrow, they said.

The Congress and the BJP legislators are busy in devising their strategies for the elections with leaders ensuring the presence of all their members during the polling.

The 68-member state assmebly had been reduced to 67 members with former state chief minister and senior BJP leader P K Dhumal being elected to Lok Sabha from Hamirpur Parliament seat recently.
