Ajantha India to foray into GSM mobile phone sector

Chennai, July 18: Leading manufacturer of electronics and healthcare product Ajantha India Limited today announced the launch of 'Ajantha Quartz' GSM mobile phones from next month.

Establishing an Ajanta mobile phone plant in Chennai with Taiwan collaboration, at the cost of Rs 75 crore was under discussion with the State and Central Governments, a company release here said.

Most advanced technological and sophisticated machineries were being procured for giving the international quality products at competitive prices.

The company, with its new venture into mobile phones is all set to capture a major share of the market with its new launch of user-friendly, feature rich, smart, slim, stylish and secure handsets, to provide value for money to its esteemed customers.

The proposed four models such as Basic colour model with MP3, Camera model with Bluetooth, MP3, MP4 and GPRS Enabled, 3.1" Touch screen Mobile with Bluetooth, MP3(3D sound), MP4, Dual Camera and GPRS connectivity and Dual SIM high-tech mobiles with touch screen, Bluetooth, MP3, Dual Camera, GPRS connectivity has 25 days battery backup.

Ajanta India Ltd has a vast network of over 8000 distributors and 50,000 dealers to reach the end users in every nook and corner of the country.

This will be made possible with the support of the branch offices in all state capitals, the release added.
