A couple commits suicide while another dies in road accident

Rourkela, Jul 18(UNI) A couple committed suicide, while another couple died in a road accident in Sundergarh district yesterday, police said here today.

Irate villagers blocked the Rourkela-Sambalpur road for more than four hours yesterday demanding compensation after one F M Ekka and his wife Pratibha were killed when their motorcycle collided head-on with a truck near Beldihi square under Brahamni Tarang police station on State Highway 10.

Both the husband and wife duo were employees of the Rourkela Steel Plant.

In another tragic incident, Kishore Pasayat, his wife and their daughter of Bandhapalli villager under Sadar Police station consumed poison yesterday to end their life following family disputes They were rushed to the Hospital by neighbours but the couple died on way to hospital. The condition of the daughter was critical, police said.
