3 dreaded dacoits killed in gang war

Chitrakoot, July 18 (UNI) Three dacoits, including a kingpin Pappu Yadav, were said to be killed in a fierce gang war at Murkundi area here today.

''Fierce firing had taken place in Kailha jungle between two interstate dacoit gangs led by Munni Lal alias Khadak Singh and Pappu Yadav respectively,'' Police Superintendent Preetinder Singh said here.

Both the outlaws carry a bounty of Rs one lakh each on their head.

Pappu Yadav, his sibling Vijay and another dacoit are thought to have been killed in the incident.

Their gang members allegedly carried the bodies with them.

A large number of empty cartridges were recovered from the spot.
