YC to set up more booth committees

Puducherry, July 17 (UNI) In a bid to strengthen Youth Congress (YC), booth committees would be set up all over the country, All India General Secretary Chandan Kumar and Secretary Deepti Mary Varghese said today.

Addressing a press conference here, they said 557 booth committees would be set up here to highlight the welfare schemes and policies of the Central and State governments.

The YC leaders said 33 per cent reservation would be given for women while setting up the booth committees.

A membership drive would be undertaken to further strengthen the party under the leadership of Puducherry Youth Congress President Pandiyan.

They said an All India Booth Committee meeting would be held in New Delhi on October 31, in which Presidents of all the booth committees would take part.
