Two die after consuming contaminated water

Dharwad, Karnataka, July 17 (UNI) Two people died and over 30 fell ill after consuming contaminated water at Tadasinakoppa village on the outskirts of the city.

According to police, while Basappa Walikar (35) died yesterday evening, Khanagouda Patil (65) died early today. About 30 people have been admitted to the district hospital here, where their condition was stated to be out of danger.

Senior officials, including Commissioner of Police Narayan Nadamani and City Municipal Corporation Special Commissioner Ajay Nagabhushan, visited the village and steps were initiated to repair the broken pipe, through which water got contaminated.
