'Take note of security dangers from Bangladesh side' : BJP
New Delhi, July 17 (UNI) Expressing concern over the abduction and killing of government officials in Asom, the BJP today asked the Centre to take the issue seriously and take steps to safeguard national interests from Bangladesh based ISI operatives stoking problems in the country.
BJP spokesman Ravishankar Prasad dismissed the statement of Asom Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi that kidnappings for ransom was the price one had to pay for development and said the Government will have to work out a unified command involving the Army.
''It was time for India to ask Bangladesh to extradite Paresh Barua, an ULFA extremist believed to be hiding in that country,'' he said, adding that the earlier efforts were resisted by Begum Khalida government and India should exert diplomatic pressures on the new government in that country.
