RPF DIG Rawal gets bail
Patna, Jul 17 (UNI) A local court today granted regular bail to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Railway Protection Force(RPF) P J Rawal, charged with allegedly misbehaving with the wife of an IPS officer in a train.
Senior Railway officer A B Siddiqui furnished bail bond of Rs 20,000 for Mr Rawal.
Mr Rawal filed the regular bail petition before the court of First Class Judicial Magistrate Railway K K Singh during the day.
The judge, after hearing both sides, granted regular bail to the DIG.
Mr Rawal was earlier arrested in Delhi and later released on bail.
The DIG was brought here from Delhi by the Government Railway Police(GRP) for interrogation in connection with the charges according to which the DIG had allegedly misbehaved with Sujata, wife of an IPS officer and sister of a Bihar cadre IAS officer Vandana Preyashi in the train.
