Modhwadia launches 72-hr fast over PAC report issue
Gandhinagar, July 17 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Gujarat Assembly, Arjun Modhwadia has commenced a 72-hour fast while alleging that the State Government was sitting on a Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report that refers to corruption in the ''Sujalam Sufalam'' scheme.
Mr Modhwadia began his fast from yesterday in the state secretariat premises.
Union Textiles Minister Shankarsinh Vaghela today met Mr Modhwadia.
Addressing a gathering of Congress workers there, Mr Vaghela flayed the State Government saying it was regrettable that a report of a Constitutionally-approved body like the PAC should be mired in politics.
Mr Modhwadia will end his fast on the morning of the commencement of Monsoon Session of the State Assembly on July 19.
