LG aims for 12 pc market share in notebook segment

New Delhi, July 17 (UNI) Leading consumer electronics manufacturing company LG Electronics India Pvt Ltd today said it targets to increase its share in notebook market to 12 per cent by 2011 from the current 4.4 per cent.

The company also targets to raise its 7.7 per cent share in desktop market to 15 per cent.

It aims to grow by 20 per cent in revenue terms in 2007 in IT division.

''IT division garnered 13 per cent of the total revenue of Rs 8,250 crore last year in India. This year we target to reach 20 per cent of the total share,'' company's General Manager (sales&marketing) R Manikandan told reporters at a launch of new products.

LG, which posted revenue of Rs 8,250 crore last year, is the top branded consumer electronics company in the country.

It makes GSM mobile phones, colour televisions, air conditioners and other household goods.
