50,000 saplings planted
Visakhapatnam, July 17 (UNI) As part of 'Harithandhra Pradesh', a "greenery drive", the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA), Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIDC) and Vizag Profiles Groups jointly planted 50,000 saplings here today.
Speaking on the occasion, VUDA Chairman P S M Raju said parks would be developed in 27 acres of the Industrial Park area.
VUDA also invited public participation in development of greenery in the metropolitan region with the objective of greening all its layouts and housing colonies in the city, he said.
