Valuables worth Rs 5 lakh burgled

Varanasi, July 16 (UNI) Unidentified criminals burgled cash and valuables totalling Rs five lakh from the house of a fruit trader in the Cantonment area here today.

The burglars broke into the house of Nathu Lal Sonkar and decamped with Rs two lakh in cash and valuables worth Rs three lakh, police said.

The fruit trader and his wife were asleep at the time of the burglary.

A case has been registered and manhunt launched to nab the absconding criminals.
