Training programme for EPFO employees

Ujjain, July 16 (UNI) A five-day training programme on computer and accounting for Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) employees got underway here today.

Regional Provident Fund Commissioner PD Sankhala, while inaugurating the programme, said the application of information technology and proper accounting system was the need of the hour for the success of any organisation.

Similarly, it was important to provide transparent, prompt and excellent service to clients in this era of privatisation, liberalisation and globalisation.

Continuous skill upgradation was necessary to bring out efficiency and face tough competition while meeting expectations of clients, who mostly belonged to lowest-rung of society.

Mr Sankhala, who is also Officer - Incharge of Zonal Training Institute, West Zone, Ujjain, asked the officers to make sincere efforts to enroll all eligible workers, including part time, piece-rated, daily wage employees and employees engaged through contractors for the benefit available under the provisions of the Employees Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952.

Fifty-eight officials, from six West Zone state offices of EPFO, are participating in the programme.

The training module would include role of employers, rights of employees, penal damages and precautionary measures to be adopted to avoid fraud, re-inventing EPFO India, attitude and behavioural skill development, including motivation, leadership, communication and inter-personal relationship, stress management and personality development, importance of ethics, values in administration and redressal of grievance machinery available in EPFO.

The trainees would also get opportunity to learn yoga and Rajyoga Meditation programme for their physical, spiritual and mental development with the help of renowned Yoga Guru Dr Nagendra Singh and services of Brahmakumari Bahan from Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwa Vidhyalay, Ujjain.
