Seven policemen suspended in Bihar

Nawada, July 16 (UNI) Seven policemen including two sub-inspectors were today suspended for their alleged misbehaviour with the relatives of JD(U) leader Akhilesh Prasad Singh, who was shot dead by some criminals last night.

Police said when the relatives of Mr Singh arrived at the police station to lodge an FIR against the criminals, the policemen on duty instead of formally registering the diary had misbehaved with them.

After getting the reports of dereliction of duty, Deputy Inspector General(DIG), Magadh Range, Praveen Vashisth issued suspension orders against the seven policemen.

The criminals who were yet to be named shot dead Mr Singh, when he was returning home at Narainpur village in Nawada district last night.
