Pondy labourers take out procession

Puducherry, July 16 (UNI) Members of the Puducherry Agricultural Labourers Association affiliated to the Communist Party of India (CPI) today took out a procession and held a demonstration infront of the Raj Nivas to press their demands.

They were demanding among other things the provision of free rice and colour television sets, free house site pattas,red colour ration cards and identity cards.

Representatives of the association later called on the Lt Governor and submitted a memorandum enlisting their demands.
