2 fishermen reported missing off Chaliyam coast

Kozhikode, July 16 (UNI) Two fishermen were reported missing in rough sea off Chaliyam coast district administration sources said today.

The two fishermen-Hussain (47) and Abdul Latheef(43)- ventured into the sea at 1300 hrs yesterday for fishing in their boat 'Sameer'.

Meanwhile, the Fisheries Department sources said a rescue boat ''Kismat'' was pressed into service to locate the missing fishermen.

The Coast Guard was also alerted, they added.
