Women injured in attack by in laws in Uttam Nagar

New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) Two women were seriously injured in an attack by four persons at Uttam Nagar in West Delhi last night, police today said.

Manju and her mother Kamla were seriously injured in an attack on them by Manju's husband Ram Gopal, his brother Nanak Chand and Nanak Chand's two sons at their house at Uttam Nagar at 2130 hours yesterday, they said.

Police said Manju and her mother Kamla, who had come to stay with her daughter, were attacked by the four assailants with 'lathis' over some property dispute, leaving them seriously injured.

Manju and Kamla later lodged a complaint against Ram Gopal, Nanak Chand and his sons Hemant and Bharat at the Uttam Nagar police station.

A case has been registered against the four who are, however, absconding, police said.
