Three arrested in kidnapping-cum murder of Noida executive
New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) The Delhi Police have arrested three persons in connection with last month's kidnapping-cum-murder of a company executive in Noida.
23-year-old Yash Rajput and his accomplices Praveen Saini and Rajneesh Dahiya were arrested after the family members of 25 year old Noida executive Deepak Gupta lodged a complaint at the Badarpur police station on July 2 that Deepak was missing since June 26 and had not been responding on phone since then.
The needle of suspicion pointed to Yash Rajput after Deepak's family members named him as a suspect in the case as Yash was opposing the marriage of Deepak with his sister Bhawna.
In course of the interrogation, Yash admitted that he had, on night of June 25, called Deepak on pretext of having food with him.
Then, while returning from the dinner, Yash and his accomplices strangulated Deepak with a piece of cloth and then threw away his body from the car at an isolated place.
The dead body of the deceased was later recovered by the Noida police and a case of murder registered at Sector 58 in Noida. After conducting postmortem, the dead body was cremated as unidentified.
Based on the information provided by Yash, the other two accused involved in the crime have also been arrested by the police. The Accent car used in the commission of the crime has also been recovered by the police.
