'Southern Empire' wins Bangalore St.Leger (Gr-II)

Bangalore, July 15 (UNI) Money back favourite 'Southern Empire' ridden by B Prakash, easily won the Bangalore St.Leger (Gr-II), the main event of the races held here today.

The winner is joint property of Dr M A M Ramaswamy and Mr Zavaray S Poonawalla rep.Poonawalla Racing and Breed Ltd,. and trained by S Ganapathy.

Trainer S Padmanabhan and Jockey B Prakash scored a double each.

Four favourites obliged in a long card of nine events.
