MP govt helicopters aiding search for Chhattisgarh chopper

Jabalpur, July 15 (UNI) Two government helicopters are aiding a search, in dense forests of Madhya Pradesh's naxalism-affected Balaghat district, for a Chhattisgarh government Maina chopper that went missing with a crew of four after taking off from Bhopal yesterday.

''There is a strong likelihood of the aircraft being in Jabalpur division's Balaghat district. An intensive police search is underway since morning. The helicopters began searching jungles in Lanji tahsil's Kirnapur, Mahedra, Rajnandgaon and Gondiya areas this afternoon,'' DIG (Balaghat Range) G Janardan told UNI
