Mob damages house, property in Kolhapur
Kolhapur, Jul 15 (UNI) A mob of about 40 persons attacked a bungalow and damaged property worth lakhs of rupees in broad daylight at suburban Ruikar colony here today.
The bunglow belonging to one Ramesh Anandrao Bulbule was damaged by the mob at around 1500 hrs, police sources said.
Bulbule had borrowed a loan from a co-operative bank but had failed to return the money and the matter went to court. Later, in an auction, Mumbai-based one Thorve purchased the bunglow, police said.
Police say the attack was carried out to take possession of the house.
Ramesh's wife, daughter, besides two policemen received minor injuries in stone pelting incident during the attack. All household materials, furnitures, window panes, doors were damaged in the incident, police sources said adding that further investigation was on.
