Manipur: Militants killed by troops identified
Imphal, July 15: Three militants shot dead by Manipur police yesterday, were today identified as belonging to the People's Liberation Army(PLA).
The three were killed after a half-an-hour encounter at Bamdiar, Imphal. Two AK 56 rifles, six magazines, 80 live rounds, one M-14 rifle, three magazines along with 26 live rounds, some empty cases of bullets, a shawl and four magazine pouches were recovered from the slain militants, Imphal West SP Clay Khongsai said here.
The Assam Rifles PRO confirmed their identities as Ingudam Chaoba, Naorem Mukesh and Thangjam Jotish.
