New Delhi, July 15 (UNI) Rain Gods today continued to showers their bounty on people of Delhi with heavy showers lashing the Capital city again this afternoon, bringing some respite from the warm and humid conditions.

The showers, which hit the city at 1445 hours, gave Delhiites much relief after a sunny and humid day, which had left in them sweat and threatened to play spoilsport with their plans for the weekend.

Though humidity continued to hover at a high level of 92 per cent and a minimum of 59 per cent, the showers, which were accompanied by a cool breeze, did provide some relief from warm and humid conditions prevailing since yesterday afternoon.

A total of 13 mm of rainfall was recorded till 1730 hours.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius.

More rains are expected in the next few days with weatherman forecasting some heavy showers in Delhi during the next one or two days.

''The current meteorological analysis suggests fairly widespread rainfall activity over Northwest India during the next one-two days,'' the Met office said.

The Met office has forecast a partly cloudy sky in the Capital during the next 24 hours with a few spells of rain or thundershowers.
