Haseena Parkar's fate to be decided on July 17
Mumbai, Jul 15: Fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar's sister Haseena Parkar's fate over her alleged involvement in an extortion and cheating case, is likely to be decided on July 17 by the City Civil and Sessions court Judge Ashok Bhangale, who heard the revision application of the Anti-Extortion Cell (AEC) seeking cancellation of her bail granted by lower court.
The AEC sleuths want to interrogate Parkar for her alleged involvement in an extortion and cheating case.
After hearing arguments of both sides, Judge Bhangale had asked the prosecution to furnish all original documents of record maintained at the time of granting bail by the lower court.
On May 24, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate V K Sharma had granted bail of Rs 25,000 to Parkar, who was booked in a forgery and extortion case.
The Prosecution case is that she had threatened Vinod Avalani, an estate agent. Avalani was also told to forget Rs 30 lakh which was paid to two builders for a slum redevelopment project deal.
Meanwhile, AEC slueths have also filed another affidavit in the court stating that Parkar's name also figured in another SRA project case registered at Vakola police station recently.
It is also allegedly mentioned in the application that Haseena is still active in SRA development projects. Some of her closed relatives had threatened promoter of Vakola SRA project.
