Former Indian Express editor Prakash Kardaley passes away
Pune, July 15 (UNI) Former editor of Indian Express, Prakash Kardaley died due to cardiac arrest here today. Kardaley was 66. He is survived by his wife and a son.
Family members told UNI that Kardaley died this afternoon due to cardiac arrest.
The veteran journalist Kardaley, in his four decades career, began with Hitavada and later joined Indian Express in 1966. He was the founder editor of Pune edition, he was best known for his commitment to civic issues. His exposure of the cement quota scam led to the resignation of then Maharashtra Chief Minister A R Antulay.
His last rites will be performed tomorrow, family members added.
