'eIndia2007' to commence from July 31

New Delhi, July 15: 'eIndia2007', a four-day Information Communication Technologies (ICT) conference will start in the national capital from July 31.

Jointly organised by Department of Information Technology and Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the conference will be attended by 1,200 experts from more than 40 countries who will discuss on the common challenges and extraordinary solutions towards digital divide and identify and explore the opportunities for digital India.

''The conference with seven themes including eGovernance, digital learning, telecentre forum, eHealth, mobile serve, community radio and eAgriculture will have about 300 eminent speakers to help delegates take stock, synthesise, design and drive the digital competence in the knowledge society in a more professional manner,'' Centre for Science Development and Media Studies (CSDMS) Director Ravi Gupta said.
