CRPF officer killed in grenade blast in J'khand
Jamshedpur, July 15: A CRPF officer was killed and several others were injured when a hand grenade accidentaly exploded during a training camp at Kiriburu in West Singhbhum district.
Police said the blast occurred when Sub-Inspector Raghvendra Singh was imparting training to the policemen in handling the explosives yesterday. The blast critically injured the officer along with his colleagues. They were ruhsed to nearby SAIL hospital where Singh succumbed to his injuries.
Agitated over the tragedy, the CRPF jawans reportedly vent their ire on senior officials and manhandled deputy commnandant Sunil Kumar at the SAIL hospital. Mr Kumar was later shifted to Jamshedpur for security reasons, the sources added.
