CPI(ML) demands termination of JD(U) MLA's membership
Patna, Jul 15 (UNI) The CPI(ML) today alleged that the Nitish Kumar government was trying to protect MLA Manoranjan Singh, despite the fact that he had not attended the Assembly session without any formal intimation.
Bihar state secretary of CPI(ML), Nand Kishore Prasad, said the muscle man JD(U) MLA had not attended the session for a long period and it was violation of rules warranting stern action against him.
''Instead of terminating his membership, the Nitish government was exploring ways to protect his membership,'' he said adding that the argument of state parliamentary minister Ramashrya Prasad Singh for continuation of the membership of the JD(U) MLA, was unfortunate.
Describing the whole episode as 'black chapter' of 'parlimentary democracy', the CPI(ML) leader said it had exposed the double standard of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who never failed to claim about rule of law in state.
