CM warns cement cos flouting licence norms

Hyderabad, July 15 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asked the Mines and Geology Department to issue notices to the cement companies which failed to open manufacturing units.

Dr Reddy while reviewing the status of new cement plants in the state said extension of time to open units was impossible and added that "they have to start the work or face cancellation of licences'' He directed the officials to issue notices to the companies which failed to open units within the scheduled time.
