Blast at Pakistan police recruit centre; 11 dead

Peshawar (Pakistan), July 15: At least 11 Pakistanis were killed and 30 wounded today in a blast at a police recruiting centre in the northwestern city of Dera Ismail Khan, a hospital official said.

People hoping to become policemen were taking an entrance exam when the blast occured.

''Eleven people have been killed. Most of them have had limbs blown off,'' said Farhat Shah, a doctor at a hospital.
