BJP demands dissolution of Assembly to facilitate early polls.
Shimla, July 15 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh BJP has demanded dissolution of state assembly to facilitate simultaneous polls in all the constituencies including the tribal Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti and Bharmaur which remained snowbound during the winters.
In a resolution adopted at the two-day meeting of the state executive which concluded today at Dharamsala, the party said since the Chief Minister V B Singh has not shown the grace to resign on moral grounds in the wake of the audio-CD episode, the only option left was the dissolution of the Assembly.
In another resolution on 'rampant corruption', the BJP executive urged the Governor to sack the government and order a CBI enquiry into the allegation of corruption.In case,the governor failed to act, the party would approach the President and Speaker of Lok sabha and launch a mass mobilisation .
The resolution made special mention of much publicised charges like CPMT paper leak, Audio CD allegedly containing conversation of Chief Minister and his wife regarding money deals, reinstatement of Additional DGP, B S Thind, suspended on corruption charges, missing suitcase containing cash, Construction of bus-stand cum commercial complex on BOT basis at Mc Leod Ganj and Musical blast case.
All the charges were of serious nature and exposed the blatant corruption in V B Singh Government and warranted a CBI probe, the resolution said.
