Villager killed by naxals
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, July 14 (UNI) A villager was killed by naxals for taking part in anti-naxalite 'Salwa Judum' campaign at Martuda village in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, police said.
Sodhi Narayan was picked up from his home by the ultras last night. He was crushed to death by stones.
In a separate incident, naxals triggered a landmine blast while a police team was patrolling near Chiklet village on Gangalur road in Bijapur district. Both police and naxals exchanged fire. However, no casualty was reported.
