Vajpayee to send chadar to Ajmer Dargah
New Delhi, July 14 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will send a decorated chadar to commemorate 795th Urs of sufi saint Khawaja Mohiddin Chisti on July 16.
A specially prepared chagar has been brought here from Ajmer by Mr Syed Abdul Wari Chisti, former Vice President of Dargah Committee to Mr Vajpayee to enable him to pay his respects at the Urs held to celebrate the union of soul with God of the saint.
On the occasion, Mr Vajpayee sought the blessings of the saint to spread of peace and brotherhood in the country and region.
Mr Shivkumar, his personal representative will travel to Ajmer on Mr Vajpayee's behalf and present the chadar and floral tribute like in the past.
