Two officials suspended for bouncing of PM's package cheque
Mumbai, July 14 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has suspended two officials and given a show cause notice to another one in connection with the bouncing of the cheque from Prime Minister's package.
Residential deputy collector S N Mishra and nayab tehsildar B K Kathane of Yavatmal have been suspended, while then Yavatmal collector Harshdeep Kamble had been issued a show cause notice, an official release said here today.
The state government had sent Principal Secretary (Finance) Vidyadhar Kanade to investiage the matter and the action was taken based on his report.
The cheques were meant for families of the debt-ridden farmers who had committed suicide in Yavatmal district.
