Reliance attack accused released

Ranchi, Jul 14 (UNI) A local court granted bail to Uday Shanker Ojha, one of the main accused in the attack on Reliance retail outlet here.

Ojha, a labour union leader, was today released from the Birsa Munda Central Jail.

About 17 persons, including Ojha, were made accused and arrested.

On May 12 retail outlets of the company located in various places were ransacked by an irate mob protesting against the opening of those outlets.

One policeman deputed to control the mob was injured and state government had suspended three policemen in this connection.

NDA convenor Geroge Fernandese also visited the city after the incident and demanded release of those accused.
