Puducherry from French colonialism takes out a procession
Puducherry, July 14 (UNI) The French India Puducherry Pradesha Viduthalai Kaala Makkla Nala Narpani Iyyakkam, a movent striving for the welfare of the people who opted for Indian citizenship here at the time of liberation of Puducherry from French colonialism today took out a procession to press their demands.
They were demanding among other things, the provision of Rs 1,00,000 to the poor families on compassionate grounds, a payment of Rs 10,000 for monthly pension, free house site pattas and government jobs to them and their wards.
The procession which passed through the main thoroughfares of the town culminated after garlanding the Kamaraj statue here.
