GNFC Q1 net at Rs 75.79 crore

New Delhi, July 14: Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Ltd (GNFC) today said it posted a net profit of Rs 75.79 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 whereas the same was Rs 47.05 crore for the corresponding period previous year.

The company's total income stood at Rs 578.88 crore in the first quarter of fiscal 2007-08 whereas the same was Rs 436.18 crore in corresponding period last fiscal.

The figures of current quarter are not comparable with those of previous period as the company was amalgamated with its subsidiary Chematur Petrochemicals Ltd (NCPL) in February this year, said a company statement.
