Another Indian doctor charged in UK terror attacks
London, July 14 (UNI) Within 24 hours of Dr Mohammad Haneef being charged another doctor of Indian origin Dr Sabeel Ahmed (26), of Liverpool, Merseyside appeared at the City of Westminster MC.
He has been charged under Section 38(B) TACT 2000 for "having information which you knew or believed may be of material assistance in preventing the commission by another of an act of terrorism or securing the apprehension, prosecution or conviction of another person in the United Kingdom for an offence involving the commission, preparation or instigation of an act of terrorism, for the purposes of terrorism," said a Scotland Yard release.
Dr Sabeel Ahmed has been charged with having information that could prevent an act of terrorism. He is expected to appear before City of Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on Monday.
He was arrested in Liverpool on June 30.
