Temperature soars in Kolkata and adjoining areas

Kolkata, Jul 13 (UNI) Kolkatans experienced a hot and sultry day today with the maximum temperature in the city and its adjoining areas soaring much above the normal level.

The maximum temperature recorded today was 36.1 degree Celsius, four degrees above normal while the minimum was 28.3 degree C two degree above normal.

The high humidity at 93 per cent added to the discomfort.

The Alipore Met office forecasts a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thunder showers in some areas.
